Light & Wonder Sends Its Three Pigs Into a Haunted Mansion

The three little pigs have had a makeover this October, and it isn’t a flattering one. Light & Wonder has reworked its long-running Huff N’ Puff franchise into a Halloween edition, trading straw houses and sunshine for coffins, graveyards and a wolf that still means business. You’ll already find it sitting in UK lobbies alongside the rest of the series.

What’s been released

Huff N’ Puff Haunted Mansion is a horror-themed spin on the Three Little Pigs fable, played on 5 reels and 243 ways from 10p, reimagining the pigs as Frankenpig, slasher and skeleton.
The game is built on the mechanics of an earlier instalment, Huff N’ Puff Money Mansion, dressed up for the season rather than redesigned from scratch.

Light & Wonder’s own listing puts the game at
3 rows, 5 reels, 243 paylines, 96% RTP, medium volatility, a 0.20 to 200 bet range and a max win of 5,600x
. Independent slot trackers log a very similar spec, with one putting the default return at
96.01% RTP and 5,350 x bet max wins
, the small variance coming down to rounding and configuration. As with much of the series, operators can run the game at different RTP settings, and
bet sizes range from 0.2 to 1,800, with a default RTP of 96%, though casino operators can use 94%, 92%, 90%, or 87%
. UK players will see it capped more conservatively: one tracker notes
a 10p minimum bet, with a maximum of £5 per spin in the UK, or £2 if you’re under 25
. It’s already live with UK operators including Paddy Power, where it’s listed as a medium-to-high volatility seasonal title with free spins, multiplier and fixed jackpot features.

How it plays

Huff N’ Puff Haunted Mansion keeps the ways-to-win format of its stablemates, so
you’ll play on a 5×3 grid with 243 ways to win, combinations paying across adjacent reels from the left, with the Wolf Wild landing only on reels 2 through 4, while Mystery Stacked Reels can swap positions for the three pig symbols before each base game spin
.

The headline mechanic revolves around frames and coffins.
The game is built around frames which reveal coffins, which then reveal bet multiplier prizes or fixed jackpots, appearing in various bonus features, with the Haunted Mansion feature awarding a random prize of a fixed jackpot, bet multiplier prizes or access to other free spins features.
Landing enough of the right symbols opens the door to one of three distinct sub-features:
a Torch-Up Feature where two to five reels get torched, starting each with White Bone Frames; a Halloween Feature where the grid grows to four rows and 1,024 ways, with five to 10 White Bone Frames placed before the first spin; and a Graveyard Feature where frames skip straight to Gold, the highest-paying coffin tier.

Free spins are triggered conventionally, with
the pumpkin Scatter triggering Free Spins when six or more land during the Base Game
. Reviewers who’ve put the game through its paces note that the mechanics closely mirror the earlier Money Mansion release, with one calling it a reskin that keeps
the 5,600x max win potential and 96% RTP
intact while swapping the visual theme.

Where it fits

Huff N’ Puff has become one of Light & Wonder’s most prolific franchises, with the studio pushing out variants at a steady clip. Industry trackers list a string of entries landing through the back half of 2026, including Huff N’ Even More Puff Hard Hat Edition and Huff N’ Lots of Puff Grand, with Haunted Mansion marked as the series’ latest addition following its October release. That rhythm of reskins and spin-offs mirrors the approach studios across the market have taken to Halloween this year, giving UK players plenty of pumpkin-and-coffin dressing on familiar reel mechanics rather than entirely new game systems. For anyone who’s already spent time with the pigs’ straw, stick and brick houses, the appeal here lies less in surprise and more in the comfort of mechanics you already know, wrapped in a seasonal coat.
