G Games’ 99 Royale Battle Slot Widens Its UK Footprint

Slots have always been a solitary pursuit, but G Games has spent the autumn proving there’s an appetite for something noisier. Its multiplayer format 99 Royale, which pits dozens of players against each other in real time, has now been adopted by a steadily lengthening list of UK operators, and this week brought fresh evidence of the format’s momentum as Codere Online signed up as a global platinum launch partner.

What’s been released

UK challenger Midnite became an early operator to partner with G Games ahead of the launch of its battle slot experience, 99 Royale.

Described by G Games as a world-first, the game saw 99 players go head-to-head when it launched on 24 September.

G Games has said the concept took five years to develop and draws on the battle royale-style gameplay familiar from video games such as Fortnite.

Since that launch, the roster of operators carrying the format has grown quickly.
Lottoland added 99 Royale as part of an agreement that lets up to 99 players compete against one another in real time within a slot-based format.

bet365 has since teamed up with G Games to bring 99 Royale to players in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

That launch features three titles, Ragnarok, Ra the King and Cherry Blossom, all available through the Slots section of the bet365 app or website.
Grosvenor Casinos has also brought the format to its site, describing the experience as a thrilling 99-player multiplayer arena built around traditional slot gameplay.

The latest addition is further afield rather than on home soil.
Codere Online announced the launch of 99 Royale in Mexico, becoming one of the game’s inaugural platinum launch partners globally.
It’s a reminder that G Games is treating this as a worldwide rollout rather than a single-market experiment, with UK operators among the earliest adopters.

How it plays

99 Royale reworks standard slot play by dropping players into a shared 99-player arena, where you first choose a preferred slot “Hero” with its own theme, paylines and bonus mechanics.

Once you’ve picked one, you join up to 98 other players in a live, real-time session.

A notable flexibility is that you can switch between different Hero slots mid-session without losing your spot in the arena, letting you vary your gameplay while staying in the competition.

Spins work much as they would on a standalone slot, but successful ones generate power that can be used either to shore up your own position or to attack rivals, turning the format into a mix of traditional reel mechanics, strategy and head-to-head interaction.
At bet365, that structure is applied across three distinct games rather than a single title, giving players a choice of theme while keeping the same competitive engine underneath.

Where it fits

This is one of the more unusual experiments UK players will have come across in a slot lobby this year, swapping the usual solitary spin-and-wait rhythm for something closer to a live leaderboard chase. With Midnite, bet365, Grosvenor and Lottoland all now carrying some version of the format, it’s clearly found traction with operators keen to offer something that looks and feels different from the standard reel set, even if the underlying spins remain recognisably slot-shaped. Codere Online’s platinum partnership, announced this week for its Mexican operation, suggests G Games is now pushing 99 Royale well beyond its UK launch partners, with more operators expected to join the rollout as the format matures.
