Every score on casinofind.uk comes from the same published model. This page sets out the weights, the real-money testing protocol behind them, and the rule that stops us guessing: an unverified field is displayed as being verified, never as an estimate.
The scoring model
Six criteria, fixed weights, applied identically to every brand. Commercial arrangements are not an input and never move a score.
| Criterion | Weight | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Withdrawal reliability & tested speed | 30% | Our own timed withdrawals: request to approval to receipt, plus consistency across repeat tests |
| Bonus fairness | 20% | Wagering, max conversion, game weighting, expiry and how clearly the significant terms are presented |
| Safety & licensing | 20% | UKGC register status, funds protection level, regulatory history, ADR provider, complaint handling |
| Games & providers | 10% | Portfolio depth, supplier quality, live dealer coverage and published RTP transparency |
| Support quality | 10% | Channel availability, response times we measure ourselves, and the accuracy of the answers given |
| Mobile & UX | 10% | App and mobile web performance, cashier flow, and how easy limits and self-exclusion are to find |
Withdrawal reliability & tested speed — 30%
This carries the heaviest weight because it is the thing that goes wrong most often and the thing operators control most directly. We score the median time from withdrawal request to money received, the spread between the fastest and slowest test, and whether the operator processes at weekends.
An advertised payout time contributes nothing to this score. Only timed results do.
Bonus fairness — 20%
With UK wagering capped at 10x since January 2026, the multiplier alone no longer separates good offers from bad ones. We score maximum conversion, whether wagering applies to bonus only or deposit plus bonus, game weighting, the expiry window, and how prominently the significant terms are shown before you opt in.
Safety & licensing — 20%
Every brand is matched against the Gambling Commission public register before it is listed at all. Beyond that we score the customer funds protection level the operator declares, published regulatory action, and whether the complaints route and ADR provider are easy to find.
Games, support, mobile — 10% each
Portfolio depth and supplier quality, the responsiveness and accuracy of support in tests we run ourselves, and the quality of the mobile experience including how quickly a player can reach deposit limits, reality checks and self-exclusion.
The real-money testing protocol
We do not survey operators and we do not rely on their marketing. We open an account as an ordinary customer and run the full cycle.
- Register and complete verification as a normal player, recording whether the operator verifies before play as required.
- Deposit real money, play, then request a withdrawal — no special handling, no press accounts.
- Log timestamps at three points: request submitted, operator approval, funds received.
- Run at least three tests per payment method over time, so a single fast night does not become a headline figure.
- Include a weekend run and a first-withdrawal run, because those are the two scenarios where advertised times most often break down.
- Publish the median, and note the range where tests diverge.
The no-estimates rule
Any field we have not personally verified renders as an amber being verified chip. We do not fill gaps with figures copied from an operator's marketing page, from a competitor site, or from an average of other brands.
That applies to bonus amounts, wagering terms, minimum deposits, licence numbers and payout times equally. If you see a number on this site, someone on the desk checked it.
Re-review cadence
Reviews are refreshed on a rolling schedule and immediately on any material change — a licence change, a rebrand, a shift in bonus terms, or a run of failed payout tests. Payout testing repeats monthly for brands in the league table.
Every published page carries an updated date. If it reads TBC, the page is in its first cycle and has not yet been re-verified.
FAQs
Do casinos pay for a better score?
No. We may earn commission when a reader opens an account through our links, and that is disclosed on every page carrying one. Commercial terms are not an input to the model and cannot change ordering, scores or tested payout results.
Why do some casinos show no rating at all?
Because a rating is only published after a completed testing round. Until real deposits and timed withdrawals have been logged, the brand shows Not yet rated rather than an estimated score.
How often are payout times re-tested?
Monthly for the brands in the Payout Speed League, and again whenever an operator changes payment providers or a reader reports a significant delay.
