BGaming’s Red Hot Chilli Chickens Turns Up the Kitchen Heat
Three cartoon chickens have found themselves on the wrong side of a stove, and BGaming is betting UK players will enjoy watching them squirm. The studio’s latest release, Red Hot Chilli Chickens, wraps a genuinely layered bonus structure around its dark kitchen comedy, giving players three separate feature paths to chase across a single set of reels.
What’s been released
BGaming has teamed up with Electric Elephant Games to release Red Hot Chilli Chickens, a new slot game where three unfortunate chickens find themselves in the kitchen.
This slot game is set on a grid comprising five reels and three rows, with 20 adjustable paylines.
It offers a return to player (RTP) rate of 96.22% and medium volatility, with betting ranging from 0.20 up to 50 per spin, and the maximum win potential is 5,000 times the bet.
The game’s design owes plenty to storytelling.
Igor Bondarenko, BGaming’s product owner for publishing, explained that the game’s visuals and mechanics were crafted to narrate a story, with the Pot Collection feature illustrating the chickens’ increasing anxiety as players gather chillis and approach the point when a chicken is cooked, triggering the bonus game.
It follows a run of poultry-themed BGaming releases, with the studio having already put out a separate chicken-themed title this month.
How it plays
Symbols such as boiling soups, onions, garlic, kitchen knives, and buckets of chicken wings appear on the reels, and a stove fire represents a Wild symbol that substitutes for all regular symbols.
The real engine of the game, though, sits above the reels rather than on them.
Mystery symbols reveal hidden Chillis, each Chilli feeds a feature pot, and every full pot brings one chicken closer to the heat, with each chicken representing its own Bonus game.
Because there are three chickens and three pots on the go at once, spins can pay out in unexpected combinations.
Filling each pot triggers Colossal Free Spins, Jackpot Free Spins, or Hold & Win, and filling more than one on the triggering spin means the kitchen serves the rounds together, from a Double Bonus to the full Triple.
That triple-trigger possibility is what gives Red Hot Chilli Chickens its highest ceiling moments, stacking mechanics rather than resetting between rounds.
Each of the three paths behaves differently once activated.
The Colossal Free Spins feature guarantees a large 3×3 mystery symbol on every spin, the Jackpot Free Spins feature introduces special jackpot symbols to the reels, and collecting enough of these can reward players instantly with payouts up to 5,000 times their stake.
The Hold & Win round works differently again:
only Prize symbols and Collector Symbols can land during the Hold & Win Bonus, Prize symbols can show values of up to ×1,000, and Collector symbols collect all Prize Symbol values in view and award 1, 2, or 3 extra spins.
On top of that sits a fixed jackpot ladder, with players able to collect Jackpot Chillis in five different colours.
Where it fits
Red Hot Chilli Chickens lands as part of BGaming’s broader push into what the studio tags as its “Entertainment” category, titles built around character-driven comic narratives rather than straight symbol grinding. The multi-pot, multi-bonus structure sits it alongside other recent hybrid releases from the studio that try to layer several feature types into one spin sequence rather than offering a single free spins mode. For UK players who’ve grown used to Hold & Win and jackpot mechanics appearing as bolt-ons in other studios’ titles, this release folds all three into one theme, giving the chicken-and-chilli concept more mechanical weight than its cartoonish surface might suggest.
