Playtech and Hippodrome Launch Live From London Tables

If you’ve ever fancied playing roulette from the actual Hippodrome floor rather than a purpose-built studio, that’s now on the table. Playtech and London’s Hippodrome Casino have switched on “Live from London”, streaming four table games straight from the Leicester Square venue, and fresh coverage this week has been digging into just how unusual that set-up is.

Playtech has partnered with The Hippodrome Casino to launch ‘Live from London’, a live-dealer studio broadcasting roulette, blackjack and baccarat from inside the historic West End venue to players across multiple regulated live casino markets.

The companies announced the tie-up on September 15, 2026.

The Hippodrome, located in the centre of London, has operated as a gaming and entertainment venue for more than a century.

What makes it stand out from a typical live studio launch is that this content isn’t filmed in a dedicated set at all.
In multiplayer terms the venue is the map and the operators who carry the stream are the servers, since the usual live casino table is built as a set first with a game put on it in a studio the players will never visit, whereas here the game was already running when the cameras arrived.

How it plays

The studio streams four table formats from the Hippodrome floor: Dual Roulette, Studio Core Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat.

Playtech and the Hippodrome said the portfolio is expected to expand with further tables as the partnership develops.
The dual roulette format in particular leans into the venue angle, with one wheel serving both the physical crowd standing at the rail and the online audience watching the same spin settle remotely.

This isn’t the Hippodrome’s first go at broadcasting from its own floor.
The venue’s online live casino got its first table from the building back in 2016, a single wheel fitted with a camera and microphone rig so the spin could be settled at the rail and online simultaneously, a format Evolution built and sold to other operators as “Live from The Hippodrome”, followed by a second table on the main gaming floor in 2018.
Playtech’s version takes that concept and widens it to a four-game spread with wider operator reach.

Where it fits

For Playtech, this slots into a growing strategy of building live content around recognisable physical venues rather than anonymous studios.
The partnership adds to Playtech’s ‘Live from’ series, which already includes tie-ups with both the MGM Grand and Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, strengthening its offering of venue-based live entertainment experiences.

The agreement combines Playtech’s live casino technology with one of the UK’s best-known land-based casino and entertainment venues.

For UK players, it means another layer added to an already well-stocked live Hippodrome offering, and a reminder that the home-grown Leicester Square venue has quietly been a live-streaming pioneer since well before “venue-based” became a buzzword among the big suppliers. On the operator side, the executives framing the launch were keen to stress the authenticity angle.
Playtech’s Marat Koss said the collaboration “merges the authenticity of a premium land-based casino and our technology to provide an engaging experience across multiple regulated markets.”

Hippodrome’s George Constantinou added that the deal lets the venue “extend that experience beyond our venue and introduce our unique atmosphere to audiences around the world.”

With Evolution’s earlier Hippodrome tables already in circulation and Playtech now adding its own four-game spread from the same building, UK players following the live-casino space have an interesting case study in how one historic venue can end up broadcasting through more than one supplier’s pipes at once.
