Octoplay’s US Growth Run Reaches a Third State

Octoplay has quietly become one of the busiest names on the regulatory circuit this week, picking up authorisation to supply its games in Pennsylvania just months after doing the same in Alberta. It is the kind of paperwork story that rarely troubles UK headlines, but it matters here because Octoplay is already one of the more active newer suppliers on British casino lobbies, and this latest approval is part of the same global licensing push that first brought it to the UK.

What’s been released

Octoplay has been granted Interim Authorisation by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, extending its US presence to a third state, following the company’s New Jersey debut with BetMGM in June 2025 and its Michigan launch with BetMGM, FanDuel and Rush Street Interactive in December 2025.

Octoplay said it received authorisation on 28 September, though its licensing disclosure shows the PGCB had granted it on 14 August.

The company hasn’t been shy about the scale of the milestone.
The Pennsylvania authorisation brings the number of regulated jurisdictions in which Octoplay is approved to operate to 20, a list that includes Malta, the UK, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Finland, Brazil, New Jersey, Michigan, Ontario, Georgia, Croatia, Alberta and Pennsylvania.
Octoplay’s UK clearance dates back further than most of those:
Gameshop Limited, trading as Octoplay, holds a licence to manufacture, supply, install or adapt gambling software and to operate a casino, granted by the Gambling Commission on 22 March 2023.

What’s changed

An interim authorisation isn’t the same as flicking a switch for players.
Regulatory authorisation does not mean its games are immediately live with every operator; instead, the approval creates the regulatory foundation for future commercial launches, and Octoplay can now work with eligible Pennsylvania operators to distribute its content.
No Pennsylvania operator partner has been confirmed yet, though its existing US tie-ups with BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings and Rush Street Interactive give a strong hint of where its catalogue is likely to land first.

On the content side,
Octoplay’s online slot catalogue includes classic reel games alongside titles built around free spins, multipliers and jackpots, with its New Jersey launches offering a closer look at the games Pennsylvania casinos could choose to add.

Titles such as Elvis Presley: Burning Jackpots, Ball X Multi-Drop and Big Bang Bonus: Hold & Win are among the games expected to roll out to newly licensed casinos, with more content to follow.
Mechanically, one recurring feature across the range is a growing multiplier carried through a free-spins round, as seen in
Eggsponential, which takes a different approach, with a multiplier that can grow during free spins.

Where it fits

For UK readers, the more relevant story is how quickly Octoplay has worked its way into mainstream lobbies here.
Gameshop Limited has gone live with bet365 in the United Kingdom, joining Virgin Bet and BetVictor, both of which launched Octoplay’s content in the UK earlier in 2025, while Rank Group — whose brands include Mecca and Grosvenor Casinos — also went live with the studio around the same period.

SkillOnNet has separately launched Octoplay games across PlayOJO, Genting, SpinGenie and MegawaysCasino
, and
a partnership with Lottomart has put titles including Fire Rail Express: Hold & Win and 777 Hot Reels: Megacharged into that operator’s library.

The studio has also moved into bespoke territory for at least one UK brand:
Gameshop Limited has delivered its first custom title for a UK operator with Midnite, the first product to emerge from a content partnership that went live in July 2025.
With a new US state now added to that list, and a change of leadership behind the scenes after
founder Carl Ejlertsson handed the chief executive role to Ralitsa Georgieva in January 2026
, Octoplay’s UK partners look set to keep seeing fresh releases arrive from a supplier that is expanding on several fronts at once.
