OpenBet Hands CEO Reins to Konstakis as Levin Steps Up

There’s a changing of the guard at one of the platforms that quietly powers a good chunk of the UK betting and gaming market. OpenBet has confirmed that Nikos Konstakis, its long-serving president and former chief product officer, will take the CEO chair at the end of the year, with current chief Jordan Levin moving upstairs to become chairman.

What’s been released

OpenBet announced that Nikos Konstakis, the company’s president, would be appointed chief executive officer, with current CEO Jordan Levin to step into the role of chairman.
The switch is not immediate:
Chief Product Officer Nikos Konstakis will replace Jordan Levin as Chief Executive Officer by the end of this year, stepping up to become the gambling tech firm’s Chief Executive Officer at the end of 2026.

Konstakis is far from a fresh face at the company.
He takes on the role having served as the company’s president for the past nine months, and since joining OpenBet in September 2021, he has held various other leadership roles, including chief operating officer and group chief product officer.
He also has an earlier connection to the business, having previously spent time there before
three-and-a-half years at SG Digital before rejoining OpenBet.
Levin, meanwhile, is not disappearing from the picture.
Acting Group CEO Jordan Levin will instead transition to a Chairman role, maintaining his commitment to help shape the company’s long-term strategy.

What’s changed

The two roles are being cleanly divided.
Konstakis will move away from leading OpenBet’s operational and commercial execution to instead take on leadership of the tech provider’s vision and day-to-day business, focusing on growth delivery and target prioritisation.
In his own words, the incoming chief executive said it was
“a privilege to take on this role and lead the business at such an exciting time,”
adding that his attention would go on
“building on those strengths, bringing even greater pace and focus to the business.”

Levin, for his part, is staying close to the strategic table rather than stepping away entirely. He praised his successor’s grounding in the business, noting that Konstakis
fits right into the new role namely because of his inside out knowledge of OpenBet’s customer network and technology stack, built over a period of more than eight years since joining the company.

Where it fits

The reshuffle lands at a busy moment for OpenBet. The firm has recently been expanding beyond its sportsbook roots, with
a period of activity that includes its planned acquisition of OmniLogic, aimed at strengthening its lottery market position and relationships with World Lottery Association operators.
It has also been flexing its technical muscle on the biggest stage in sport, with the company noting it
processed more than 175 million bets and $3 billion wagered during the World Cup.

This all follows a significant ownership shift for the business. Levin previously
guided OpenBet through a management buyout earlier this year and secured private backing led by entertainment executive Ariel Emanuel.
For UK operators who rely on OpenBet’s platform for sportsbook, casino aggregation and player account management, the leadership change signals continuity of strategy rather than disruption, with the outgoing chief staying on in an advisory capacity as the business pushes further into lottery and international growth under fresh operational leadership.
