The Traitors Turns Reality TV Betrayal Into a New Slot

Reality television and slot design have been edging closer together for years, and the latest crossover puts a very British format at the centre of the reels. The Traitors, the murder-mystery-meets-strategy show that made its name on the BBC, now has its own dedicated slot, built to capture the whispered alliances and last-minute betrayals that keep viewers hooked.

What’s been released

BetMGM has announced an exclusive online casino rights partnership securing the intellectual property rights to the reality competition television series “The Traitors” for slots, table games and non-traditional casino games, with the agreement signed with All3Media International, part of Banijay Entertainment.

The first title, The Traitors Faithful Riches, is now available to players, with its launch timed to coincide with the 17 September television season premiere of “The Traitors: New Blood”.

The game was developed by Aurum Signature Studios and went live at BetMGM’s online casinos in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.

It also launched at Borgata Online in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Aurum Signature Studios operates under the Games Global umbrella, and several outlets covering the release credited the wider studio group directly, with one
describing Faithful Riches as developed by Games Global, transforming the strategy, suspense and betrayal of the iconic series into an online casino experience.
The rollout has since extended north of the border too, with the title
also becoming available at BetMGM Casino in Alberta and Ontario.

How it plays

The Traitors Faithful Riches features 1,024 ways to win across a 5×4 reel layout.

In-game features include The Traitors Bonus, bonus spins and The Traitor Feature, alongside hidden rewards and jackpots.

The Traitor Feature itself can trigger during either the base game or free spins, awarding cash prizes with a random multiplier attached.
The overall theme leans into the show’s cloak-and-dagger appeal, with
the game inviting players into a world of secret alliances, hidden rewards and jackpots.

BetMGM has been clear that this is only the opening move.
The game is the first of several planned titles that will extend the Traitors brand across multiple gameplay experiences.

The operator describes it as the foundation of a wider iGaming franchise built around the series, with table games and non-traditional casino formats also covered by the licensing deal.

Where it fits

It’s worth being upfront that this launch sits firmly on the other side of the Atlantic for now.
BetMGM The Traitors games are appearing at BetMGM Casino in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as Borgata Online in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with Alberta and Ontario following.
There’s no indication yet of a UK release, so this isn’t something you’ll find on a UK-licensed site today.

That said, the underlying IP has obvious UK roots. The Traitors began life as a BBC One format hosted by Claudia Winkleman and has become one of the most talked-about reality shows in Britain before its licensing arm struck this North American casino deal. The move also fits a broader pattern of studios mining recognisable television and film brands for reel-based games, something UK players have already seen from suppliers translating well-known franchises into Megaways and cluster formats.
BetMGM frames the tie-up as part of its wider strategy of offering entertainment-driven content based on recognisable television and film brands, intended to differentiate its casino offering.
Whether Faithful Riches, or a future instalment in the franchise, eventually finds its way onto a UK-facing platform depends on how the licensing arrangement evolves, but the appetite for turning a homegrown hit show into casino content is a trend worth watching from this side of the pond too.
